Validation of an Analytical Method for the Determination of Thiabendazole in Various Food Matrices

In many countries, thiabendazole is used as a fungicide to prevent the decay of food and lengthen storage periods. However, in Korea, unauthorised does not have standards or specifications for use additive. this study, simple analytical method was developed validated using HPLC–PDA detect foods frequently consumed South Korea. The calibration curve obtained samples solid liquid containing banana citrus fruits concentrations range 0.31–20.00 μg/mL with satisfactory coefficient determination (R2) 0.999. limit detection (LOD) values were 0.009 0.017 μg/mL, respectively, quantification (LOQ) 0.028 0.052 μg/mL. intra-day inter-day precision less than 1.33% (relative standard deviation), recoveries from spiked ranged 93.61 98.08% at concentration levels 2.5, 5, 10 addition, expanded uncertainties measu-rements 0.57 3.12%. These results showed that appropriate quantitative analysis fruits.
